The R&D activities performed at BTC represent an important and much needed basis for both professional as well as educational work, whereby BTC is an important partner to the University of Ljubljana in particular.
There are three research teams existing in this field that meet the statutory criteria and requirements for managing national and international projects, which is verified and evaluated by the Slovenian Research Agency (ARRS):
There are 37 employees having at least university education (26 female and 11 male associates) and 5 technical associates who hold a research status.
Among them, seven are habilitated as University professors (one Full Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, two Associate Professors at the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Pharmacy, and four Assistant Professors lecturing at the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnical Faculty). They develop European and national research projects and research programmes.
